Hey all - Heroes of Telara

Hey everyone. I seemed to have stumbled upon this game today and found these forums. HoT seems like it has a lot of promise to it (hopefully). So I just made any account to these forums. I go by characters name is Zhium so I'm sure there some Vanguard people around that might know me and possible some people from EQ. Played Eq from Luclin to about like 3 or 4 months after Vanguard was released and played Vanguard from release to December 2009.

Been waiting for a new game that looked like it could hold my attention and it seems from what I have read HoT is what I might be looking for. So I figured I would join you all in hoping that more information will be released soon.

Well I will see you all around I guess.

The way I see it, E3 is June 15th. Id wager we "see" nothing till then.

Yeah. Thats what i expected. I'm really not looking play a game at the moment just looking to find one that looks promising and in the future I can play one again. And I am really hoping that HoT is going to be that next game I place my heart and soul into. But I have patiences and a lot of it.

And Raive what can I say I am an evil dorf. I won't deny it. And you thought you could get rid of me easily but nope this evil dorf will always be around to annoy you, Raive lol. I guess technically I didn't really annoy you much on VG. But oh well. lol

Welcome to the boards, as stated patience is a virtue here ... shame i do not have any.

Second, i would still be in Vanguard if the population was better, as it is i am in lord of the rings with the wifey.

For me it wasn't so much the population of the servers that made me decided to leave. It was the direction the developers were taking with the new content they were releasing. Also not to mention the fact that they shelved so many projects that I was looking forward to. But oh well I guess it is time to move on and hope something better and I am hoping that will be HoT. Only time will tell.

Announcing to the Vanguard community that the AA system that was near completion was being scrapped completed the writing on the wall to me.

Sony is allowing VG to wither and die now...officially.

There will be no new prime content. They will drag this out over the next year, maybe two. Grab all the sub money that they can while the population dwindles, but VG is done. I wont pay into that philosophy.

That is one of the reason my wife and i no longer play vanguard. We saw this coming after the patch in September. We took some time off MMOs then went back to lord of the rings ...
